Sounds like a thrilling time… I love reading your blog, it brings back some great memories of a wonderful vacation we had. Didn’t comment on your trip to Verdan post but it’s such a sobering sight to behold so, so many headstones. We took our 16 year old to Normandy and he was stunned. One thing to read about it in history class another stand among the dead….

michelle, we’ve been away for 34 days already and we’ve got one more week in champagne, then one week in paris, then a couple days in buckinghamshire, then a night in kuala lumpur, then home sweet home.
lissa….verdun was so very sad and we were both quite emotional there.
