soap name winners!

Posted on | October 19, 2009 | 5 Comments

many thanks to everybody who made suggestions.
there were so many wild names i had great difficulty in making a decision.
i suspect there are a lot of frustrated paint-namers out there…..just like me. (if i ever quit soap, i’m going into paint naming).

winners:
soap 1….mapleccino (thank you chinalilly!)
a perfect name….sweet, warm, fun and simple. just like the soap!

soap 2…..ganesha (thank you banshee!) how could i possibly ignore my favourite hindu god? the story about parvati and the sandalwood paste and her bath…..icing on the proverbial soap cake, i assure you!

if you two ladies could please kindly shoot me an email with your postal addresses, it will save me wading back searching and hunting through etsy orders.

    Yay!

I have often fantasized I would go into a career of naming lipsticks, and actually wrote a 8000 word dissertation on lipstick naming in my uni days.

why does this not surprise me in the least?
if you have a copy of that in electronic form, i’d LOVE to read it!

Hmm …. I did, about 3 computers ago. It is probably on an archive disk somewhere. And floating out in the industry too because one of my sources shared it with her friend, and so on. But you’d miss out on the presentation – push-up lipsticks (made from cardboard), lip-shaped pie charts, drawings with shiney lips … hehe, lots of fun stuff. I’ll show you if you’re ever in Sydney.
