happy birthday yungaburra market!

my very favourite local market turned 32 today.
in 1977, they started with just 14 stallholders and an incredible 50% (7 people) from the first day STILL attend the market every single month.
isn’t that cool?
and now we have grown to 290 stallholders and it’s an epic event with volunteers and a committee and a coordinator….it’s just the most wonderful outdoors market.
today also marks 100 years of the yungaburra primary school, so the village is full of visitors from all over the globe, returning for the festivities.
we had a great market, but missed seeing a lot of our regulars….my guess is that they are avoiding the crowds and we’ll catch up with them in june.
our personal anniversary is in december, which will be our eighth year of selling soap at yungaburra.
if you are ever in the region, do drop in and say hi!
