catching up on my sleep

i feel as though i hardly slept a wink in november or december.
we were making soap late, cutting early and packing orders every other minute of the day.
this busy-ness invaded my brain and interfered with my sleep.
finally, there is some breathing space and i’ve discovered the various meditation podcasts on itunes.
what a fabulous idea…am i the last person on the planet to discover podcasts?
subscribe (free usually) to the podcast you choose, and it downloads automatically when the newest edition is out.
as someone who runs a busy company and makes decisions about everything all day long, i am very attracted to the idea of guided meditations.
just lie back and let someone else tell you what to do for twenty minutes….it’s very appealing, isn’t it?
there are lots of those available by podcast.
however, my absolute winner so far has been one by mary and richard maddux at meditation oasis, titled effortless meditation.
it’s completely unstructured and the goal is to be in a state of complete no-effort.
i’ve had time lately to run this 12 minute meditation twice and three times a day.
it’s lovely and drift-y and gentle and the bonus is the incredible deep sleep!
hours and hours and glorious hours of it.
my husband wanted to know if i’d been attacked by a tsetse fly.
