moving to the slightly obsessed side of the kitchen now….
eating:
sultana/cinnamon/honey
baking now:
oatmeal/maple syrup/chopped soaked dates
oatmeal and white flour
proving:
oatmeal and flaxseed
also on the go:
a pineapple juice and flour sourdough starter
i found a great recipe that utilises the starter in the no-knead bread…simply add 1/2 cup starter and cut back water by 1/8 cup and delete the commercial yeast.
i’ve never made starter before….if it doesn’t work, i’ll try the potato water method.
in the works, mentally at least:
molasses and wholemeal
potato and garlic
rye, caraway and yoghurt
fresh herbs/parmesan/sundried tomatoes/kalamata olives
