moving to the slightly obsessed side of the kitchen now…. eating:sultana/cinnamon/honey baking now:oatmeal/maple syrup/chopped soaked datesoatmeal and white flour proving:oatmeal and flaxseed also on the go:a pineapple juice and flour sourdough starter i found a great recipe that utilises the starter in the no-knead bread…simply add 1/2 cup starter and cut back water by 1/8 [...]

i’ve been obsessed with the famous no-knead bread and i’ve even found time to start playing around with variations. 2/3 cup of prunes, soaked overnight with boiling water, a couple TBLSP honey, 1/3 tsp each of cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, mixed spice make a lovely addition to the basic recipe.this makes a soft damp slightly dark [...]

moonlight….my latest grevillea flower i was thrilled to see this flower blooming today!it’s a grevillea called moonlight…..i am so excited, i adore white grevilleas.she’s a creamy white colour, with the palest tinge of green.and beautiful seed pods.

i made a delightful new soap recently….i’ve called it tea flower. it’s very pretty….pale orange with rose and calendula petals and tea leaves throughout and a generous drizzle of white over the top. i scented it with rose geranium and orange, mostly……they are lovely blended together…i was dreaming of a stylised orange blossom sort of [...]
