serious about soap

today i was talking to one of my gorgeous customers at the market, and she tells me about her house she is building.
she has just had to get the builders to redo the contract for the bathroom because the original contract had allowed only for a “little tiny standard soap dish with only one hole”.
this simply wasn’t adequate to hold her large bars of patti flynn soap, and drain them properly!
so, the new upgraded soap receptacle….sort of a soap altar, really…is costing an extra $150 (and labour is extra!).
and like anyone really serious about their soap, this excellent lady says it’s money well spent, and absolutely essential!
i agree with her! but i could be sliiiightly biased…..

I was thinking something very similar recently! My mom designed someone’s powder room to look like this: http://marcelapaz.com/20-30.jpg
Initially, it seemed that the glass plate under the mirror was meant to be decorative, but how gorgeous would it look with some beautiful, accenting soaps there? My mom wouldn’t listen :p

Totally totally agree, you wouldn’t park your sports car out on the street, why squash your soap into a carport when it can have its own garage!!!

Ahhh that’s awesome. I cut mine in half so they fit neatly and drain well.
