a panda in a copper pan

my husband called me this morning to see our funny agapanthus….she had just climbed into this copper pan and was trying it out as a spot to clean and regroup.
note about pan: it was a first anniversary gift from maurice.
it’s pure handbeaten copper, with cast brass handles.
it is estimated to be about 150 years old….it’s original use was as a preserving pan for a pioneer woman.
can you imagine the vats of plum jam!

What a cutie pie! Cats will lay down in the most unusal places! I’m paranoid about my front load washer though, I will double and triple check to make sure there’s not a cat in there, sleeping on the dirty laundry. Empty buckets, picnic baskets, moving boxes, you name it, my cats have been there. Wherever they will fit, I tell you.
