bannik

tomorrow morning, very early, i am seeing my husband off to the markets on his own….i am staying home to work on some soap by myself.
we have some urgent orders that need to be underway before the weekend and i am also working on a new look for a new soap.
the new bannik bar has been giving me grief.
i made it a while back and i just don’t love the look of it, so it’s all going back to the drawing board for a re-work!
i’m thinking a cheeky pale fresh grassy green, with confetti chunks, on the bottom.
then a layer of pure white soap on top, with a swirl of the same green throughout.
the bannik is a mischievous sprite, with voyeuristic tendencies… his soap needs to feel fresh, cheeky and slightly naughty.
the blend is everything lemon (lemon, lemongrass, lemon myrtle!) with geranium and siberian fir…VERY fresh and crisp!
i have not made soap on my own for some years and i am quite anticipating the inevitably different kind of energy that will be involved.
other news:
miss mousie has returned!
actually, six days ago….i’ve been a very slack blogger.
we were overjoyed to see her home, safely.
she looked very well and was normally hungry.
13 days absence! we were very glum around here.
we’ve been grovelling to her with little snacks and special pats and making comfy nests for her….she sees through our transparencies, but enjoys them nonetheless.
we are so very happy to have our silver girl back where she belongs.
and other news:
i finally got the ipod.
a classic 80 GB and a bose portable speaker.
simply amazing technology…..it’s all slightly bewildering how small and fabulous it is. and much simpler to use than i expected.
i’ve been thrilled to find some very old favourites at itunes….we’ve been listening to a very oddball array of music around here.
