luncheon party part deux

what an hilarious day……fabulously funny hip company, plenty of champagne, cooperative weather, and good food.
we sat outside and looked at the view and tore bottles out of ice and generally ate/drank/made merry.
we watched the sun go down and the stars come up and the moon rise.
at 7pm, my dear husband organised dinner….we had the leftovers from lunch! i had made heaps and heaps of salads and two meatloafs, so there was plenty to go round.
we listened to all my favourite swing albums and had a soap barn tour.
at around 10pm, our guests decided to start their 2 hour drive back to port douglas.
we’d been laughing hard, non-stop for HOURS…..today i feel suffused with well-being and slightly euphoric.
i hope they do too.
it was just marvelous and i cannot wait to do it all again.
