going wireless

we were up making soap until verrrrrrry late last night….because we had to pause to watch gordon ramsey at 8.30pm!
there is a LOAD of cutting to be done later today.
but first
we are off to cairns to collect goodies.
maurice needs a new front tyre for his honda (especially after riding out to chillago the other day! a 400 km round trip and i was so absorbed in getting the mac set up that i didn’t even notice he was gone. how bad is that? OBSESSED).
and i am buying one of those airport mac thingies.
you plug it into the wall.
then you plug in your printer, your speakers and your internet connection.
and THEN
that all synchs wirelessly with your laptop.
o yes.
i’ll have my desk back again!
i know this is terribly OLD HAT for many of you….but it is thrillingly new and techno for me!
no more wires! no cables! no TETHERS! it’s all so liberating!

i used to listen to you mac people and snicker quietly to myself.
now i’ve seen the light!
fae, do you use quickbooks for mac?
or have you got the mac partitioned with boot camp?

tbh, there are more features on qb for windows and most accountants has it. so for ease of reconciling i got qb for windows and installed it on my old desktop, but i am going to install it on my windows side of my mac later on when i remember to.

yeah, i think i might actually call in a professional to set it up for me.
i don’t want to kill my mac.
i am still just running QB on the desktop PC too…..while i decide what to do next.
it seems like a good solution for now.
