aaarggghhh, my ankle

i’ve been watching a slight swelling in my left ankle for about 12 months.
it would ache slightly at times, swell up slightly at times….then subside.
i finally went to the doctor about it.
he prodded it a bit and cheerily announced that is more than likely to be osteo arthritis.
this made me scream aloud: but i am only 41!
he said, it was probably the result of some ancient injury.
he also suggested that it could be a spot of typhoid or tuberculosis in the joint, picked up whilst waltzing about in far-flung asian destinations.
but there isn’t a huge chance that it is anything so freakish.
regardless…..tomorrow is the day for blood tests of all kinds and an x-ray.
they cannot be very busy at this time of year…..i phoned both clinics this afternoon and immediately got appointments for tomorrow.
i am very happy about that.

since i started my yoga practice back up several months ago, i’ve been much more conscious of the ankle.
o well, c’est la vie.
it is definitely not the worse thing that could be happening!
