a funny incident at the market today…
Posted on | December 7, 2007 | No Comments
it was a hideously hot humid day and we started it with less than four hours sleep.
not happy.
it was horrendously busy and i wasn’t in the mood for it, really.
then a woman stops to buy soap.
and she asks me an ODD question: do you send a lot of soap overseas?
i said, yes, we do a bit of export.
and she says I KNEW IT.
i said: you knew what?
she says: you live on the tablelands, don’t you?
i said: yes. (and my weirdometer is going off).
again, she said: I KNEW IT.
apparently, she works at the main mail sorting centre in cairns.
she noticed alllllll these parcels coming from my general postal direction and she KNEW it was my soap because she could SMELL THE PARCELS and recognised the blends.
i am not kidding.
it was all the etsy parcels!
how hilarious is that?
there are 120,000 people in the area, but apparently, nothing you do is private.
i’ve been giggling over it all day.
