just busy

it’s that time of year again.
everything apart from basic survival functions gets shoved to the back burner, while our entire lives are consumed with soap production.
this is our finished production for the day(30 moulds, with 48 bars in each mould):
and this is where i have to find space to put the cut up bars:
each shelf has around 100 bars on it normally….but at this time of the year we start to double stack.
it’s my mum’s 60th birthday today….happy birthday mum!
she is living it up on the gold coast for a week, with a bunch of girlfriends who have flown over en masse from new zealand.
very cool!
is 7.30am too early to call?
normally i’d say it was….but they are early risers and i know they’ll be going out early too.
i did get a chance to actually cook food last night.
i tried something weird and different.
chicken breasts, chopped small, sauteed with some scallions and hot goan-style vindaloo curry powder.
then i added cream and sundried tomato paste, to make a bit of sauce.
salt, pepper, let it reduce slightly while the chook cooked.
then i threw it over penne pasta.
it was divine and different.
