summer fruit

it certainly felt like summer at the yungaburra market today!
really stiflingly hot…..and o yes, there is some stone fruit around already!
i had peaches and white nectarines (at insanely high prices, thanks to the never-ending drought) and they really were divine…..juicy and sweet and sharp all at once.
it is the annual folk festival weekend in yungaburra again, and the village is crammed full of dreadlocs and tattoos and VW kombi vans and uillean pipes and fiddles and african drums and harps and heaven knows what all else.
the atmosphere was great.
we sold plenty of soap and ate german style hotdogs with onions and sauerkraut and caught up with all our usual regulars.
it really is my favourite market.
o and we even have a website now!
yungaburra market.
