striped beast

i bought this thing on etsy from this guy.
here is the blurb:

This entirely handmade monster is crafted out of inherited fabrics from my grandmother. The beast is made of primarily terry cloth polyester. His sort-of painfully smiling lips are painted with acrylic paint. The beast’s orange eyes are each made of a different kind of thread, one being a thick old yarn and the other a finer cotton floss. He’s loosely stuffed with polyester fiberfil to give that ho-hum slump.

From the tip of his horn to the bottom of his foot, he measures 24 1/2″, and from fingertip to fingertip he measures 16 1/4″. He has a short tail with an orange puff at the end and little blue claws on his skinny arms (shown above).

Although not intended for rigorous play, several of my toys have ended up in the hands of unruly children and they hold up well, although they are meant primarily for decoration. If it must be washed, I would suggest dry-cleaning.

it arrived today and i just cannot stop giggling every time i look at it.
it’s just a brute of a beast, with a serious attitude.
i’ve got him draped over the rung of a bamboo ladder, so his legs dangle….but i can see all kinds of places where he needs to be posed in the future.
he really is the anti-toy.
