soapmakers in sydney

we’ve just returned from an absolutely exhausting and exhilarating 5 days in old sydney town.
we went to show our soap at the gift fair: a truly enormous event with a stunning array of gifty stuff.
i was disappointed to see very little “australian-made” stuff….but what i did see was fantastic and i bought a set of nesting bowls from a NSW ceramicist (organic shapes and delightful muted-but-rich colours) and a heap of scented candles from ecoya candles (both australian-made).
we had an overwhelming response to our very simple, even stark, stand, and our product and picked up many dozens of new accounts.
actually, we may have overdone it, slightly!
our usual 24 hour turnaround time has just blown out to 1 month, while i sort out all these new accounts and crank up production.
the four days was a whirlwind of new faces and fast paperwork and i’ve talked my lips completely off.
acdtually, it was just like a great big market, but with fifty thousand dollar displays.
