rebecca, yes, the very same market!
only the top two stories were burnt out….the bottom storey looked pretty good from the road.
but the top two were gaping blackened ruins. completely destroyed.
our jaws hung open, as you can well imagine. quite a shock.

Wayan just sent me some wonderful photos of his brother's wedding, and they brought back so many great memories. Loved hearing about your leathers and the rain! Enjoy your bintang *salut*

i cannot post pictures until i am at my own computer.....i don't travel with the USB thingie that connects to my camera.
and this particular internet cafe doesn't have a computer that i can stick an SD directly into....we ARE in a developing country after all.

so, patience, little anonymous one.
it's a virtue!
i'll be home monday and "back in the office" on tuesday.
FWIW, my photographs are nothing to write home about anyway.

To make it authentic, you really need a frothy tropical drink in a carved out pineapple (ala Jen) . Hope you enjoy(ed) the bbq!!!! Can’t wait to see your leathers and I agree with Maurice – you need to black too.
