i’m a slack blogger

well it isn’t that i’ve not been doing anything thrilling.
and it isn’t that i haven’t been online.
the last week has seen me with blogger’s block. BIG TIME!
i’ve been riding my motorcycle.
i’ve been plotting my bali trip….can you say custom-made bike leathers?
i’ve been finalising stuff for the trade show.
i’ve been making plenty of soap.
including a rush last-minute order for half a pallet of logs for export that has REQUIRED MILITARY PRECISION WITH THE PLANNING AND EXECUTION AND ABSOLUTELY NO MARGIN FOR ERROR OF ANY KIND. i love a little pressure before the holidays…..
the husband is back to 90% operational strength.
he doesn’t want to strain the muscles surrounding the mending collarbone, so he is getting me to help him with heavy lifting….we lift together; it’s really quite sweet.
our curing room is almost completely full, but i have to cram another 5000 bars in there this week.
soap is stacked on top of soap. it’s mayhem!
but it also means that for once we won’t have to fly home all night, get off the plane, drive an hour home, have a nap and then immediately make soap!
after bali, i’ll be concentrating exclusively on the trade show.
it’s a great big event; we are very excited; we are exhausted just thinking about it….four days of non-stop buyers! we are expecting very big things, especially as this will be our first time exhibiting to this sector of the market.
i’ve got a fabulous freight arrangement….we drop the boxes to the depot, they make up the pallet for us and transport it to our actual stand at the exhibition!
we just have to unpack, like it’s a fancy market stall and then do our thing.
i’m looking forward to catching up with the lovely karyn from celestial scents while i’m in sydney, as well as a few spas and shops who carry our soap.
if i can get to the sydney essential oil company, i will, but our schedule looks terrible.
we are staying almost on top of the exhibition/convention centre, so no rental car.
i have to run, it’s almost 4pm and we have a big soapmaking session ahead of us.
looks like a late night!

Missing you over at the sudsy place, so I checked in to see how the shoulder was doing. Glad he is meding. Have fun in Bali.

Did you hear the news? Ms Rebecca and I are going to Amsterdam in Nov/Dec. And staying in the RLD to boot! Jen + pot + RLD = too scary to think about

you two are a bad-ass travel combo, for sure!
PINK leather? i dunno. it would look garish on my dark red bike. but if i got the bike painted like zebra skin, then it would all look garish together. hmmmmmm.
