ENT & lungs herbal tea
Posted on | July 20, 2007 | No Comments
this is my favourite mixture for when the nose, ears, throat and lungs are all packing up with a cold or flu or bronchitis or combo.
you need dried herbs, 1 part of everything and two parts of licorice (partially for taste).
coltsfoot
marshmallow leaf
echinacea
golden rod
yarrow
hyssop
horehound
mullein
thyme
comfrey root
angelica root
aniseed
licorice root
mix them all together and store in a glass jar.
to make tea, use 2 tsp in a cup of boiling water and steep for fifteen minutes.
i like honey in mine and it helps with the throat irritation
lots of lovely demulcents, pectorals, respiratory relaxants, amphoterics, anti-microbials & expectorants!
i’ve been drinking this 3-4 times a day and it is helping me a lot.
and marjoram oil is one of my absolute favourites for the oil burner at night.
it is a pectoral and a sedative……helps the lungs and soothes you to sleep.
