it’s amazing…

…what you can achieve, when you put your mind to it.

my husband and i have just finished unloading a pallet of coconut oil.
usually, this is no big deal for us.
it’s hot and sweaty labour and requires some strength, but it is all quite doable.
today it was a minor ordeal.
i am still wheezing with lingering bronchitis and the husband’s right collarbone is still very much broken.

however, he drove into the village, where our pallet was temporarily parked, and loaded metal drums into our small car; drove home with one arm; and i helped him unload and stack the oil in our workshop.

we weren’t terribly fast, but it took less than an hour, including all the driving back and forth (three trips).
i coughed dramatically for ten minutes afterwards, but soon got tired of that and stopped.

that is the final pallet in for a while….i have a shed full of oils….now i just need to get my strength up for soapmaking.

I admire your determination and sheer will to move forward regardless of your obstacles healthwise. Wow! is all I can say. I really don’t know if I would have it in me to go the distance the way you are doing with your illness as well as Maurice’s broken collarbone. You definitely deserve every success that comes your way. Here’s hoping you and Maurice return back to good health very soon.
    Cheers.

    thanks, karen.
i must say, maurice did the bulk of it….with his left hand!
it’s very unfortunate that we are both half out of action for the time being, but today showed me that we can still get quite a lot done if we work in unison!
thanks for the good health wishes; we need them!

patti, you guys kick ass even when you are one armed and hacking. *wink*

i can very much relate to the bronchitis, i get it chronically a couple few times per year and it’s exhausting.

have you slathered your chest with some helpful oils and eo’s for the chest and congestion and such?

i am sure you have already used lots of stuff, but did you try any helichrysum eo for m’s broken collarbone by chance?

That’s really rotten that you’re both suffering. Perhaps it’s the universe’s way of telling you to take a little break?
Have you tried some “teas” made with anise, cinnamon, ginseng or red clover? Those are all good for bronchitis…

Hope you both get better soon,
    Jody
