i treated myself to some creative fun today. soapmaking has been very slow around here (illness and injury) and we’ve been pretty much focussed on just catching up with regular stuff….no time for frivolity!however, i had some organic biodynamic yoghurt from mungalli creek dairy and i made a seriously citrus blend with five-fold tangerine, five-fold [...]

this is my favourite mixture for when the nose, ears, throat and lungs are all packing up with a cold or flu or bronchitis or combo. you need dried herbs, 1 part of everything and two parts of licorice (partially for taste). coltsfootmarshmallow leafechinaceagolden rodyarrowhyssophorehoundmulleinthymecomfrey rootangelica rootaniseedlicorice root mix them all together and store in [...]

i made headway with various insurance people yesterday….managed to track down the third party insurers and get a claim form rolling.it looks like the labour i employ, to cover maurice’s absence from the soap barn, will be reimbursed….which is a very good thing. mr maurice’s parents drove all the way up from town to visit [...]
