woofy and the panacea bar

recently, one of the ladies at the cairns market gave me a call.
she works as a volunteer for YAPS (young animal protection society) and a truly horrendous case of abuse had arrived on their doorstep in the shape of a little pooch called woofy.
she wanted to know if she could use my soap on him….he had barely any fur and was in a really terrible state, with sores and god knows what.
i can hardly even write about it.
i told her to go ahead with the baby soap she had on hand and i would fix her up with something even more soothing at the next market.
the following friday, i gave her a panacea bar (goatsmilk, dairy milk, coconut cream, silk, organic honey, oatmeal brose)with which to wash woofy (pretty nifty bit of alliteration).
she told me he is doing really well; skin is healing and fur is growing back a-pace.
here is a link: http://www.yaps.org.au/
scroll down a little and you’ll see him.
they do marvellous work at YAPS and are always looking for more support.

That poor little dog. I’m glad he’s healing well. I had a look at their site, I think Misha.. Marley..Minty and Macca need a new bandicoothome.
