rawwwwther pleased with ourselves

we’ve had a mad rush on soap lately, and of course, like everyone else, we’ve only got two hands apiece and seven days a week.
we were pushed to desperate measures yesterday….yes, on a sunday!…..we got up quite early and started soaping with only a couple of coffees under our belts, and pumped out a full one thousand bars.
then we had the whole day to roam about doing other stuff.
and then, at 9pm, we started cutting up the day’s production.
we’ve never had to do that on such a large scale before.
the soap was still slightly warm and very soft.
it was delightful to cut, actually….lovely clean cuts….but we had to be extra careful not to ding it or dent it.
it felt good to have that all done in one day and we certainly slept like we had earned it.
and now we have a jumpstart on the week, so we are extremely smug and are going to reward ourselves with a swim in the ocean when we go to make soap deliveries in town, later.

I can’t even begin to describe how jealous I am of such productivity!
Boy.
Here I am, planning to soap until my eyeballs fall out, and allll of the supplies are gone from my kitchen (more room for perfume then, see), and I haven’t had enough time…
It’s all I can do to edit the blankety blank newsletter tonight, oy.
Cheers! You guys are something to be feared, or reckoned with, or admired; definitely all of the above.

o it was alarmingly productive.
but we are super-motivated.
and we don’t have to put out a newsletter and sound all intelligent!
we just have to amuse ourselves with our rambling blog and heaps of cat photos!

And how many molds does 1000 bars fill up. I’m drooling just over the concept of your production. Simply amazing as always.

And how many soap molds does it take to be able to whip out 1000 bars? I’m speechless. You’re soap…bike & gourmet presentations are simply gorgeous!

we use twenty slab moulds to make our 1000 bars (well it’s actually 960 bars, but that’s getting pedantic).
